What Makes a Location Appealing?
When asked what makes a location appealing, Americans showed clear agreement. The top trait was pleasant weather, named by 67% of respondents. Low crime followed closely at 66%, and a low cost of living came in third at 64%.
Deal-Breakers for Residents
Respondents were equally clear about deal-breakers. A high crime rate topped the list of undesirable qualities at 75%, followed by a high cost of living (67%) and heavy taxation (62%). Bad weather was less decisive, cited by 58%.
