Newly released 911 audio offers a harrowing account of an incident involving Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans’ teenage son, Jace, and his grandmother, Barbara Evans.
The call, obtained by Us Weekly from the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina, stems from a late-February event described by family members as a possible murder-suicide threat. In the recording, Barbara sounds distressed as she asks for immediate assistance.
She tells dispatchers that her grandson, who she says is on probation, was “destroying” the home and had a gun to his head. Barbara also reports that he was shouting at her and behaving aggressively in a way that left her fearing for her safety.
Throughout the call she implores officers to come speak with her before the situation worsens and more damage occurs to the residence.
Following the incident, reports indicate Jace was placed in a mental health facility. Law enforcement and family sources have suggested he may have been under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time.
