Bad Bunny Tapped as Headliner for 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show

Roc Nation, the NFL and Apple Music announced that Bad Bunny will headline the Super Bowl LX halftime show in 2026.

The Puerto Rican star shared a short Instagram clip showing himself perched on a goalpost planted on a beach while his song “Callaita” plays, previewing his appearance.

“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself,” Bad Bunny said in a statement. “It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture, and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL.”

Jay‑Z, founder and chairman of Roc Nation, praised the booking, saying, “What Benito has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring. We are honored to have him on the world’s biggest stage.”

Super Bowl LX is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

This announcement arrives amid a major year for Bad Bunny. He released his album Debí Tirar Más Fotos in January and mounted a historic 31‑show residency at El Choli arena in San Juan that ran through Sept. 21. The finale, streamed on Amazon Music, featured guest appearances from Marc Anthony, RaiNao, Dei V,

Ñengo Flow, Arcángel, De La Ghetto and Jowell & Randy.

Following the residency, Bad Bunny will embark on a world tour. He has shows planned in the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and Mexico this November and December, with additional dates across South America, Australia, Asia and Europe in 2026.

Notably, he currently has no U.S. concerts booked this year or next, which adds significance to his Super Bowl slot. Bad Bunny has explained that concerns about Immigration and Customs Enforcement potentially targeting shows influenced touring choices: “But there was the issue of — like, fucking ICE could be outside [my concert],” he told i‑D.

He also hinted at U.S. plans in a recent tweet: estuvo pensando en estos días, y luego de hablarlo con mi equipo, creo que haré una sola fecha en Estados Unidos.

Beyond music, Bad Bunny has appeared in two films this year — Happy Gilmore 2 and Darren Aronofsky’s Caught Stealing — and is set to host the Season 51 premiere of Saturday Night Live on Oct. 4, with Doja Cat as musical guest.

Bad Bunny succeeds a string of high‑profile halftime acts, following Kendrick Lamar (2025), Usher (2024), Rihanna (2023), Dr. Dre and guests (2022), the Weeknd (2021) and Shakira and Jennifer Lopez (2020).
