Bentley introduced its new Ombre by Mulliner paintwork at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering during Monterey Car Week. The debut adorns a Continental GT Speed and marks a fresh offering from the marque’s Mulliner bespoke division.
Artisan Technique and Craftsmanship
The hand-painted Ombre technique produces a gradual color transition across the body and demands more than 56 hours of skilled attention from Mulliner craftsmen at Bentley’s Dream Factory in Crewe. Each commission is treated individually, with painters adjusting in real time to how pigments interact to secure a seamless blend.
Design and Visual Effects
The launch car shifts from Topaz at the nose to Windsor Blue at the tail, with the fade line tracing the GT’s sculpted surfaces. The effect is extended to 22-inch wheels that reflect the dual-tone theme.
Interior Details
Inside the cabin, the gradient continues. Topaz hides cover the front seats, steering wheel, and instrument panel before merging into darker Beluga leather toward the rear. Dragonfly-stitching highlights provide a refined finishing touch.
