Bloomberg names Daniel Cancel as Miami bureau chief

Daniel Cancel has been appointed Miami bureau chief for Bloomberg News. Cancel joins the Miami team after more than 17 years with Bloomberg. During his tenure he has served as bureau chief in São Paulo and Caracas, acted as managing editor for Latin America, and worked as a senior reporter. Earlier in his career he freelanced in Caracas, reporting for the Daily Journal and contributing to pieces published by The Guardian, The New York Times, and the Christian Science Monitor. He is a graduate of New York University.
