Jaguars' Cam Little Boots NFL-Record 68-Yarder; Schefter Says Travis Hunter Will Be Out 'A While'

Cam Little made NFL history Sunday with a 68-yard field goal, the longest in league annals. The Jaguars kicker said he expects the boundary to be pushed even further and believes a 70-yarder is inevitable.

Little told ESPN’s Mike DiRocco that he and holder Logan Cooke had a brief one-on-one before the attempt. He said he committed to striking the ball with maximum force and then “let it loose,” a mindset he associates with his best performances.

He also stressed that the league is full of talented kickers, and that breaking the 70-yard mark is largely a matter of seizing the right chance. “You kick it long enough and you kick it straight enough, it’s going to go in,” he said.

On a different front, Adam Schefter said on The Pat McAfee Show that Jaguars two-way star Travis Hunter, who suffered a non-contact knee injury in practice last week and was placed on injured reserve, is likely to be sidelined for an extended period.

Schefter noted tests showed Hunter’s ACL is intact but added that the player’s absence—four weeks minimum—signals a more serious issue. He compared the situation to the cautious approach taken with other high-value players, saying Jacksonville will be careful

with Hunter and that any return this season would depend on how the team fares in the playoff race.
