Cripple Creek Police Detain Suspect in Casino Theft

Cripple Creek police say they have detained a suspect tied to the removal of $76,800 from J.P. McGill's Casino on Monday morning.

Suspect Details and Detention

Officials identified the person in custody as 26-year-old Andrew Joel Irvine of Colorado Springs. He is being held at the Teller County Jail while the department continues its probe and formal charges remain pending.

Investigation Collaboration

The investigation involved assistance from the Colorado Springs Police Department and the Colorado Division of Gaming, authorities said.

Previous Arrests

Court records indicate Irvine was also arrested on Thursday on a separate robbery charge in Teller County.
