Second Full-Length Album
David Ellefson has returned with Jeff Scott Soto for a second full-length under the Ellefson-Soto name. Their new record, Unbreakable, is out now via Rat Pak Records and follows the duo’s well-received debut.
Writing and Production Process
Writing began in 2023, with Ellefson saying sessions often kick off when the collaborators meet in Wembley, London. What started as informal songwriting accelerated into a full album after the pair recorded a cover in late summer 2024 and found renewed momentum.
Band Members and Guest Appearances
Ellefson — best known as the original bassist of Megadeth — says he and guitarist Andy Martongelli already had much of the material prepared, and once Jeff contributed melodies and lyrics the project moved quickly. The band delivered the finished record to Rat Pak by Nov. 1, and the label was enthusiastic about releasing a follow-up.
