Board Approvals and Acquisitions
The Escambia County Board of Education met in a special session in Brewton on Aug. 15 and authorized multiple classroom equipment purchases and personnel actions.
Among the board’s approvals was a revision to the 2025–26 student code of conduct.
The board also approved the following acquisitions and contracts:
- A one-year subscription to the Insights to Behavior management platform from Briton Education LLC for $17,445, to be funded from Title IV.
- A contract with Creamer Dozier Service Inc. for removal and replacement of asphalt at the entrance of Escambia County Middle School for $29,000, funded from FY A&T.
- A Smart STAT Basic simulator for the health science classroom at Escambia County High School from Pocket Nurse for $20,017.45, paid from CCR grant funds.
- Career explorations software from McGraw-Hill for $16,200, to be covered by the middle schools innovation grant.
- A press box audio system for Escambia County High School from Audio Plus Solutions Inc. for $49,700,...
