Green Bay Common Council Approves Parking Fee Increases
The Green Bay Common Council voted 10-1 Tuesday to approve a package of parking fee increases that will take effect Jan. 1, 2026.
Details of the Fee Changes
Under the approved plan, on-street parking meter and parking ramp hourly rates will rise from $1.00 to $1.25. Council members and city staff said the change brings Green Bay closer to rates charged by similarly sized cities.
Parking citation amounts and late fees — which have not been updated in five years — will also increase by $2 across several categories. The adjustments raise overtime and expired meter fines from $22 to $24; no-parking and overnight on-street fines from $32 to $34; and no stopping/standing, hydrant, fire lane and bus stop fines from $42 to $44.
Additional Measures
The approved measures include a 3% increase in parking rental rates, rounded up to the nearest dime. The plan also continues the Lot F rental rate equalization program previously approved in the 2025 budget.
