Ha Jung Woo’s new directorial project, The People Upstairs, has unveiled its first poster and teaser trailer.
The film centers on an unpredictable evening when an upstairs couple—played by Ha Jung Woo and Lee Ha Nee—and their downstairs neighbors, Gong Hyo Jin and Kim Dong Wook, sit down to dinner after repeated nighttime disputes over noise.
This marks Ha Jung Woo’s fourth effort as director, following Fasten Your Seatbelt, Chronicle of a Blood Merchant, and the 2025 release Lobby.
The poster highlights the four leads alongside striking character lines. Ha’s character, Mr. Kim, fixes an intense gaze on the couple below as he delivers a startling proposal. Jung Ah (Gong Hyo Jin) looks both uneasy and intrigued. Hyun Soo (Kim Dong Wook) appears worn and resigned, while Soo Kyung (Lee Ha Nee) remains composed, suggesting she is prepared for an unusual turn of events.
The teaser opens with Jung Ah and Hyun Soo preparing for the meal. Jung Ah tells him, “During dinner, touch me naturally,” and Hyun Soo replies, bewildered, “Touch you… where?”
