He was returned unopposed, receiving 12 votes, and begins a second four-year term leading the federation.

The election produced other changes in leadership: Lawrence Iquaiborn won the vice-presidency, defeating Innocent Nwakwo by eight votes to four, while Sefia Onubaye was chosen as the technical representative with a decisive 30–4 margin over Mr. Christopher.
