The Prospect Heights Garden Club will convene at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, at the Gary Morava Recreation Center, 10 W. Camp McDonald Rd., Prospect Heights.
Toshiko Kolback will demonstrate Ikebana, also called Kado, the Japanese art of floral arrangement. She will show how seasonal materials and carefully chosen colors and forms create symbolic compositions that enhance a room’s decor.
Kolback’s finished arrangements will be entered into a raffle at the conclusion of her presentation.
The day opens with a business meeting at 11:30 a.m., followed by a brown-bag lunch and then Kolback’s program.
