Indianapolis High School Students Focus on Civic Engagement
INDIANAPOLIS — Twenty-five high school students from across the city are spending weekends focused on issues such as mental health, education and social justice.

Members observe government in action and hear from those who shape city and state policy, gaining practical insight into public decision-making.
"Last year I spoke at the Statehouse and conducted interviews on environmental issues," said Hope Peck, a senior. "It was a rare chance to meet representatives and speak with people who actually make community decisions."
