Jillian Michaels has signaled she may pursue legal action after being criticized in Netflix’s three-part documentary Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser.
Michaels, who spent 12 seasons as a trainer on the long-running weight-loss series, did not participate in the docuseries. Four days after the show premiered, she told TMZ she is consulting attorney Bryan Freedman about possible claims against Netflix, the series producers, fellow trainer Bob Harper, and the show’s former medical advisor, Dr. Robert Huizenga.
Revealing Evidence and Communications
On Tuesday, August 19, Michaels began posting screenshots of emails and text messages she says clear her of wrongdoing. Her first shared email was from a coordinating producer and referenced supplements, asking whether the team wanted “Stacker 2 or 3,” which the message suggested would be distributed to contestants.
Michaels also posted her reply, in which she asked a colleague to pick up “my fat burner extreme” from GNC. She argued these exchanges show the medical advisor approved the use of caffeine pills on set and that Harper was aware of, and at times ...
