Legal Proceedings and Guilty Plea
Jasveen Sangha, the San Fernando Valley dealer nicknamed the “Ketamine Queen,” has agreed to plead guilty to five federal counts tied to the 2023 death of actor Matthew Perry.
Details of the Charges
Court filings say the 42-year-old will admit to maintaining a location for drug preparation, three counts of distributing ketamine and one count of distributing ketamine that resulted in death or serious bodily injury. Sangha is the last defendant in the matter to choose a guilty plea instead of going to trial.
Allegations and Incident Details
Prosecutors allege that in October 2023 Sangha collaborated with Hawthorne resident Erik Fleming to sell Perry 51 vials of liquid ketamine. Perry’s live-in assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, is said to have injected the actor with three doses. Perry’s death was ruled accidental drowning with the acute effects of ketamine listed as a contributing factor.
Link to 2019 Overdose and Sentencing
The guilty pleas also connect Sangha to a separate 2019 overdose. Sentences for the admitted offenses carry statutory maximums that could amount to decades behind bars.
