Google’s Made By Google Event Kicks Off in Brooklyn
Google’s annual Made By Google event opened in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Wednesday, August 20, with a slate of new hardware and software updates for 2025.
Celebrity Highlights and Presentation Opening
The presentation began with a celebrity montage featuring Alex Cooper, The Jonas Brothers, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Lando Norris, A’Jai Wilson, and Stephen Curry. Jimmy Fallon served as host and opened the show with lighthearted remarks about holding onto Google’s latest flagship device.
Pixel 10 Series Announcement
The headline announcement was the Pixel 10 family. Google upgraded the phones with enhanced AI features, stronger performance, and, for the first time, a third camera that includes a telephoto lens for improved long-distance shots.
The Pixel 10 series will be offered in three models: the standard Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and the larger Pixel 10 Pro XL. Pricing starts at $799 for the base model, $999 for the Pro, and $1,199 for the Pro XL.
