Netflix Announces Season 2 of Dept. Q
Netflix has confirmed a second season of Dept. Q, the dark British mystery that debuted earlier this year. The announcement follows last month’s disappointment for fans after the streamer canceled a popular action-comedy.
Cast and Production Details
A Netflix press release names Matthew Goode back in the lead role as DCI Carl Morck. The series, adapted from Jussi Adler-Olsen’s novels, is produced by Scott Frank and Chandni Lakhani.
Several principal cast members are also returning. Alexej Manvelov, Leah Byrne, and Jamie Sives will reprise their roles as the investigation continues beyond the cliffhangers of season 1.
Season 1 Recap and Expectations for Season 2
Season 1 wrapped up the Merritt Linguard case, but many cold files remain, and the identity of the shooter who wounded Morck and his partner was left unresolved. The new season is expected to pick up those threads.
