Tragic Off-Roading Accident Claims Two Influencers in British Columbia
Two well-known off-roading influencers died after their vehicle plunged an estimated 200 meters (about 656 feet) on a remote British Columbia trail, authorities said.
Details of the Incident
The accident occurred on Aug. 7 in the West Kootenay region near Trout Lake. Kaslo Search and Rescue’s communications manager, Mark Jennings-Bates, told media that rescuers discovered one occupant without vital signs at the scene and the other alive when first reached.
Rescuers reported that Stacey Tourout was conscious when teams arrived but had suffered a severe head injury. She was transported by helicopter to hospital and later died that night, Jennings-Bates said.
Her partner, Matthew Peter Yeomans, was found having been thrown from the vehicle and showing no vital signs upon discovery, according to the search-and-rescue official.
