Offset Releases Emotional Music Video for “Never Let Go”
Hip-hop artist Offset has released the official music video for “Never Let Go,” which features John Legend. The song is one of the most emotional moments on his new album, KIARI, and serves as a tribute to the late rapper Takeoff.
Tribute to Takeoff
Takeoff was fatally shot outside a private party in Houston, TX, on November 1, 2022. His death profoundly affected Offset; the two were close friends and collaborators as members of Migos and often referred to one another as cousins despite not being biologically related.

The music video centers on Offset’s grief and his vow to remember Takeoff. It opens on what appears to be an empty group therapy session, then shifts upward to a second-story scene where John Legend plays piano surrounded by flowers. Offset later joins him dressed in funeral attire.
