Rochester Native Ole Fevold Shows Promise in Junior Hockey
ROCHESTER — Ole Fevold, a recent John Marshall graduate, is back on the ice and showing promise as he works toward his first full season of junior hockey.
Development and Early Career
Fevold spent the last two years splitting time between high school hockey—first with John Marshall and then the Century/John Marshall co-op—and the Rochester Grizzlies. He logged 31 games with the Grizzlies over two seasons, experience he and coaches say readied him for the next step in his development.
Mentorship and Adaptation
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound power forward praised former Grizzlies coach Tyler Veen for the opportunity to play at the junior level while still in high school. Veen, who is moving to an assistant coaching position at Augsburg University, helped Fevold adapt to a faster, more physical game.
Injury and Recovery
Fevold battled a lingering lower-body injury that began during the Section 1, Class 2A playoffs in early 2024. He underwent surgery after last season and signed a tender with the North American Hockey League’s Austin Bruins in the spring.
