TelevisaUnivision Appoints Oscar Suris as Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer
In his new role, Suris will direct communications across the company’s U.S. and Mexican operations. His remit includes corporate messaging, content and brand communications, community relations and internal employee communications.
Reporting Structure
He will report to Chief Administrative Officer José Tomás.
Professional Background
Suris joins TelevisaUnivision from Duke Energy, where he served as senior vice president and chief communications officer. Before that, he was president of Edelman New York, the agency’s largest global office with more than 800 staff.
Across a career spanning three decades, Suris has led corporate communications teams at Wells Fargo, Ford Motor Company and AutoNation.
Personal Background
Born in Cuba and raised in Miami, Suris began his professional life in journalism in 1986 at The Miami News. He later worked for The Orlando Sentinel and The Wall Street Journal, and was on the Miami Herald’s executive management team as executive assistant to the publisher before moving into corporate communicati...
