Rosellen Mathewson, 80, died peacefully at home on October 25, 2025, surrounded by family. She had lived in the local area for the past two years and was previously a resident of Greenfield Township, Pa.
Born in Portland, Maine, on September 12, 1945, Rosellen was the daughter of the late Leo and Eleanor (Grzenda) Turissini. She was an avid reader whose greatest pleasures were found outdoors.
A natural horticulturist, Rosellen delighted in gardening and planting, with a particular fondness for growing herbs. Her compassion extended to animals, and she took special care of birds and other creatures in need.
She is survived by her children and their families: Lisa Winter and her husband Bruce, and their children Breanna (Matthew) Wagner, Brittany Winter, Alysha (James) Willis, and Erica Winter; grandchildren Blakely and Theo. Also surviving are Lynne Fofi and her husband Anthony, their children Vincent (Briana) Fofi and Dominick Fofi, and grandchildren Aria and Ella; and Ronald LaSota, his wife Maria, and daughter Miranda.
Rosellen also leaves siblings Joan and William Slacktish and Leo and Patricia Turissini, along with their families.
She was predeceased by her parents; her
