Sisters Share Personal Safety Tips Inspired by Father
Two sisters are turning the private safety lessons their father taught them into public advice. Ashley Hicks (@ashleyy4236) and her sibling—daughters of a former Secret Service agent—have been posting short videos on TikTok outlining the precautions they were raised to follow.
Precautions They Always Follow
They opened with a list of things they avoid. Neither will sit with their back to the entrance in restaurants or other public venues. They also refuse to accept Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace pickups at their homes, preferring to meet buyers at a fire station or police precinct instead.
Home Security Measures
Security at home is nonnegotiable for them. If you can’t install an alarm system, they suggest at least using security company signs or window stickers to create the impression that the house is protected.
Everyday Safety Practices
