August's Liquor and Beer Board Meeting: A Busy Month
August is shaping up as a busy month for the city’s Liquor and Beer Board, which will consider six requests at its Friday meeting — the most applications the board has seen in a single month this year.
Modifications to Existing Licenses
Three of the petitions are for temporary or location-based modifications to existing licenses. Cerberus Brewing wants permission to use its parking lot for seating and beverage service during its ninth-anniversary celebration on Aug. 23. Melissa Lefebvre said the event will include a vendor market, a pig roast and an adoption drive paired with the brewery’s craft beers. Cerberus, at 702 W. Colorado Ave., was reported for sale by the Gazette in June; owners Jerry Morris and Tom Halfast, both in their 60s, plan to keep the brewery operating while seeking new ownership.
Expansion of Liquor Service
