Springfield, Mass. – August 7, 2025 – Esteemed women's basketball trailblazer Lucille Kyvallos, a 1955 graduate of Springfield College, has been honored with induction into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Tennessee, earlier this summer. The ceremony took place at the historic Tennessee Theater, where Kyvallos was celebrated alongside renowned figures such as Alanda Beard, Cappie Pondexter, Danielle Donehew, Mark Campbell, Sue Bird, and Sylvia Fowles.
Her Connection to Springfield College
In addition to this national recognition, Kyvallos was inducted into the Springfield College Athletic Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2017. Her alma mater's focus on physical education and leadership significantly shaped her dedication to promoting women's opportunities in sports.
