Stanford Women's Soccer Dominates Saint Mary’s
STANFORD, Calif. — Junior Joelle Jung recorded a goal and two assists as No. 2 Stanford defeated Saint Mary’s 4-1 Sunday at Cagan Stadium.

Stanford opened the scoring almost immediately. In the third minute, redshirt senior Andrea Kitahata worked down the flank and cut a pass back to Jung, who one-timed a right-footed shot into the net for the fastest goal the Cardinal have produced this year.
The Cardinal doubled their lead in the 22nd minute when Charlotte Kohler converted on a one-on-one opportunity. Jung set up Kohler with a precise through ball, and Kohler slotted her chance past Saint Mary’s goalkeeper Kate Plachy for her second goal in as many matches.
Saint Mary’s responded early in the second half, with Brooklyn Smith pulling a goal back in the 52nd minute to make it 2-1.
