Renewal off the field
Tallulah Academy is experiencing a season of renewal off the field as workers complete a new school building to replace the one heavily damaged by the 2022 tornado.
Team’s renewed spirit
The sense of renewal reaches the football program as well. Vicksburg native Ryan Williams has been promoted to head coach after three seasons as an assistant, and he’s introducing adjustments while honoring the program’s long-standing identity.
Coaching philosophy
“We’re not tearing everything down,” Williams said. “We’re keeping Tallulah’s traditions but have updated terminology, play calls and route concepts. We’ll attack short-yardage opportunities and take shots downfield when they present themselves.”
