Denison's Terrell Elementary Celebrates Renovated Campus
DENISON, Texas — Terrell Elementary unveiled its renovated campus and greeted students with a literal red carpet on the first day of classes.

New Assistant Principal and Student Highlights
Assistant Principal Shelby Johnson, a Denison native, returned to the district after completing student teaching and spending 11 years as a classroom teacher. This marks her 12th year with the district and her first as assistant principal at Terrell.
A familiar face in the hallways is Johnson’s stepson, Bryson, who begins fourth grade. He described feeling a mix of excitement and nerves and said he’s most looking forward to making friends and reading lots of books.
Renovations and Upgrades
Leadership highlighted the renovated library as one of the standout improvements. Bryson called it “amazing,” and staff say it will be a focal point for student learning.
