Back-to-School Drive Hosted by Threads of Love and Little Mountain Flower Clinic
Threads of Love joined forces with the Little Mountain Flower Clinic to host a back-to-school drive on Saturday, Aug. 9, providing essential services and supplies to local students.
Medical Services Offered
The clinic’s mobile lab offered complimentary sports and school physicals to ensure children were medically cleared for the coming school year. Appointments and walk-ups were both accommodated to reach as many families as possible.
Distribution of Supplies and Services
Volunteers distributed free school supplies and backpacks. Perry County Schools donated the backpacks, which were filled with items bought through community contributions. Golden Combs donated time and talent to give free haircuts to students in need.
Acknowledgments and Documentation
Organizers credited local donors and volunteers for making the event possible. Hazard Herald photos by Justin Begley documented the day’s activities.
