Introduction of Upgraded US Podcast Ranker
Triton Digital has released an upgraded Q2 edition of its US Podcast Ranker, introducing a suite of new audience intelligence capabilities.
New Audience-Focused Tools
The update adds three distinct audience-focused tools: a Top 200 Podcasts list for listeners aged 18 and older; rankings showing podcasts that best reach specific high-value segments based on socioeconomic traits, behaviors and purchase intent; and dedicated podcast genre audience profiles with an accompanying ranker.
Publication and Usage of New Capabilities
Triton says these capabilities will arrive with each quarterly ranker, while the standard lists will continue to be published between major updates.
Podcast Advertising Opportunities
The company highlights that podcast ad opportunities extend well past headline shows. Concentrating ad spend on the Top 50 podcasts, Triton warns, captures only about 49% of monthly podcast listeners. Expanding placement beyond the Top 50 can unlock reach to roughly 84% of listeners who consume at least one show outside the top tier.
