Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision Near Plainview
HIGHLAND TOWNSHIP, Minn. — Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle collision near Plainview on Monday, Aug. 18, 2025.
Details of the Crash
The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 42 and 590th Street, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report.
Vehicles Involved
A 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan was headed north on Highway 42 when it collided with a 2001 Toyota Camry that was traveling north on 590th Street at the intersection.
Injuries and Responding Agencies
The Toyota’s driver, 18-year-old Emily Marie Gregurich of Kellogg, and a 17-year-old passenger both sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Both were taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital–Saint Marys for treatment.
The driver of the Dodge, 45-year-old Eric Michael Hegna of Wabasha, was reported uninjured.
Responding agencies included the Minnesota State Patrol, the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office, the Plainview Police Department, the Plainview Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service.
