Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights Reimagined as a Permanent Attraction in Las Vegas
Universal Horror Unleashed opened to the public on August 14 and launched at AREA15’s newly expanded Zone 2, where VEGAS 411 attended an exclusive preview.
Expansion Details
The Zone 2 expansion adds 35 acres of entertainment to AREA15 and includes a seven-story parking garage that is currently free. Officials described the new campus as an extension of AREA15’s immersive art and entertainment offerings.
Opening Remarks
Kim Scott, Senior Director and General Manager of Universal Horror Unleashed, delivered opening remarks during the preview and introduced the attraction’s offerings.
The Haunted Houses
The experience centers on four highly produced haunted houses. Scarecrow: The Reaping places guests in a 1930s Dust Bowl–era farmland overtaken by vengeful, murderous scarecrows.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre recreates the 1974 film’s most chilling moments, putting visitors face-to-face with Leatherface, members of his deranged family, and the franchise’s iconic set pieces.
