Motorcycle Fire on Main Street in Valley City
A motorcycle caught fire on Main Street in Valley City shortly after 2 p.m. on Monday, August 18.
Initial Response and Suppression
A police officer who arrived first used a portable fire extinguisher to suppress the flames until Valley City firefighters could apply water to the bike.
Investigation and Witness Appeal
Lt. Dana Rustebakke told NewsDakota.com the rider had left the scene before officers were able to make contact. Police say the incident is under investigation.
