Early Morning Shooting in Pompano Beach
Surveillance footage captured a volley of bullets fired at a residence in Pompano Beach in the early hours of Aug. 6, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.
Details of the Incident
BSO spokeswoman Gerdy St. Louis told CBS News Miami the incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. near Northwest 27th Avenue and 13th Street. St. Louis said the shooting "could have turned deadly," noting investigators counted more than a dozen rounds striking the home.
Scene Description
Video from the scene shows a light-colored vehicle passing the house, reversing, and two people exiting before opening fire. The suspects then fled the area in the same vehicle, according to authorities.
Investigation and Community Response
Detectives have not identified a motive and are asking anyone with information to come forward. St. Louis urged the public to share tips so the individuals responsible can be located and others are not harmed.
