Wilson County Schools’ Good News Ambassadors (GNAs)
serve as the primary storytellers for students, teachers, and staff in every school.
Role of the GNAs
Each school appoints a GNA who receives a stipend to act as the link between their building and the district’s Communications Department. They submit news, photos, and videos for social media, WCS websites, and the InFocus newsletter.
Statements from WCS Leadership
“GNAs take on this responsibility because they care deeply about their schools,” said Carol Birdsong, WCS Executive Director of Communications. “Their work keeps families and communities informed, and allows us to share the many positive things happening across the district.”
Training and Skills Development
Ambassadors attend an annual training to improve their photography and videography skills, learn media protocols, and ensure content meets district standards.
